Training hubs are designed to meet the educational needs of the primary and community care workforce, and bring together NHS organisations, community providers and Local Authorities. Training Hubs are a key enabler of the primary care workforce strategy described in the NHS Long Term Plan and recognised as such by Health Education England, NHS England, NHS Improvement, and the Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System. The Nottinghamshire Alliance Training Hub (NATH) is rooted in its localities.
In June 2021, NATH are funding the Primary Care Zone, where school students in Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands can connect with healthcare workers throughout the Primary Care sector.
Health Education England (HEE) is the vehicle for providers and professionals, working as part of NHS Health Education England, to improve the quality of education and training outcomes so that they meet the needs of service providers, patients and the public. Through HEE, health and public health providers will have strong input into the development of national strategies and priorities so education and training can adapt quickly to new ways of working and new models of service.
