The team win £500 to spend on more healthcare engagement activities.
Here’s what their team leader, Adam Jones, has to say about their victory…
Thank you all for such a great experience!
We hope that you all had as much fun as we had, whether that was asking questions or answering them!
Ahead of I’m a Medic we could never have guessed what a success this experience would be in connecting us to schools. Even the most technophobic of us were busily typing away by the midpoint of a live Chat, making sure that we had answered all of the interesting questions asked. The team never tired of talking about what they had been asked last time they took part and it was a definite two-way learning experience, where the enthusiasm classes brought to the Chats really rubbed off on us!
Pupils managed to constantly delight us by not only asking questions about our roles but also about different news stories that were breaking and how they affected our different roles – really challenging us and making us think!
Thank you to all the members of Team NATH for their individual contribution during these busy times, giving up breaks and their free time to jump on a Chat. Also, massive thanks to the other health professionals and teams who made this possible and gave up their own very valuable time. This definitely would not have been possible without them!
Thanks also to the I’m a Medic team who made sure everything ran smoothly and did a very professional job of moderating the chat, joining the conversation, or keeping us up-to-date when there were delays.
In a year when there has been so much disruption, it was great to come together and have meaningful conversations with pupils.
Once again, many thanks for everyone’s efforts and contributions.
Stay safe and warm wishes,
Team NATH!
