For the last week, students and healthcare professionals have been engaging online in the General Practice Zone of I’m a Medic, Get me out of here. Together they’ve talked about everything from the the hardest exams they’ve ever taken, perspectives on conditions for junior doctors, how learning languages can help you, why they don’t want to be politicians, making difficult decisions with people’s lives as part of a team, and whether robotics will help the work of General Practice in future.
Seven healthcare professionals are talking to the students in the General Practice Zone, including General Practitioners and trainee GPs, a Nurse Practitioner and a Practice Manager. See the schools and read more about the healthcare team taking part here.
In total, after the first seven days, there’s been:
- 220 school students logging in to the zone
- 67 questions asked by students sent to the 7 healthcare professionals
- 71 votes cast by the students to support their favourites
And that’s not to mention all the conversations in 4 live chats that have taken place already.
